[北美2008.6.28] Task 3 【学校通知】：学校要求每个senior literature major在毕业前写一篇research thesis。学校将给每个学生指定一个advisor。 【学生态度】：男/女生赞成此计划。理由1、平时的论文thesis都比较短，学不到东西。现在有机会写一篇较长的research thesis。理由2、每个学生在写thesis的时候可以和advisor讨论，找出论文的不足，最终写出一篇高质量的thesis。问题：转述男/女生对此计划的态度和理由。 [北美2008.6.28] Task 4 【课文要点】：Bi-directional communication between parents and baby，意思是说：babies和父母能相互影响。 【教授举例】：教授举了一个例子。两个parents和一个六个月大的baby named Max。Max 爱笑smile，喜欢被抱to be hold，喜欢talk /communicate with his parents。Max的这些行为导致他的parents也爱对他笑，爱抱他。而baby喜欢feed back from the parents。这种feedback又进一步刺激Max喜欢和父母交流。 [北美2008.6.28] Task 5 【学生困难】：男生想举办一个诗歌朗诵活poetry activity。有20个人将参加attend这次活动。可是活动的空间不够there are not enough spaces。 【解决方案】：方案1、让这些人分次来参加活动。先只允许allow only 10 people 参加。剩下的10个人the remained 10 people下次 next time参加。但男生担心他们会feel disappointed。方案2、把活动地点从the coffee shop改到the lecture hall，这样，所有人都有机会参加活动。 [北美2008.6.28] Task 6 【讲课要点】：动物靠在空中放出某种化学物质chemical来交流communicate。这种化学物质有两个用途：1 、判断location：an insect can use this chemcal to guide another insect from food to home。举例：蜜蜂bee找回家的路。2、this chemical is the signal to show that fmale animals are ready to mate交配。举例：a femle mouse can relase this chemical，so a male mouse can know this female mouse is ready to mate and can find where it is。 [北美2008.6.28
