Located in the center of the city, Yufeng Park features Yufeng peak which looks like an upright fish (“Fish” is pronounced “yu” in Chinese Pinyin). The peak is covered with flourishing plants and there is a green pool at its foot, which is called “Xiaolongtan” (little dragon pool). A widely spread tale says it is where Liu Sanjie once sang folk songs and rose to heaven on the back of a carp. There is a white marble statue of Liu Sanjie on the peak and in the cave sculptures of men and women demonstrating the sceneof Duige (Local people gather together and take turn to sing folk songs that are closely related).
