SHANGHAI, November 4 - Chinese shares closed up 0.46 percent on Wednesday, rebounding from early lows as banks and metal producers gained ground, dealers said.
The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was up 14.31 points to 3,128.54 on turnover of 163.9 billion yuan (24.0 billion dollars).
The Shanghai A-share index rose 14.99 points, or 0.46 percent, to 3,283.12 on turnover of 163.5 billion yuan, while the Shenzhen A-share index gained 8.52 points, or 0.73 percent, to 1,168.61 on turnover of 116.4 billion yuan.
