Chinese share prices were up 1.92 percent Monday morning led by oil majors after Beijing hiked gasoline and diesel retail prices, dealers said.
The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers A and B shares, was up 50.49 points at 2,683.42.
The Shanghai A-share index added 53.06 points, or 1.92 percent, to 2,816.60, while the Shenzhen A-share index gained 11.13 points, or 1.20 percent, to 938.28.
