Chinese shares rise 0.70 percent at Monday's opening, pushing the index to an eleven-month high.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.70 percent, or 20.08 points, to open at 2,900.57. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.65 percent, or 73.63 points, to 11,315.92 at the opening.
Market analysts attributed the rise to the country's latest move to finance the social security system and the retirement of the aging population through the stock markets.
Some listed Chinese companies will have to transfer part of their state-owned shares to the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) as the country prepares for an aging society, the government said on late June 19.
