2，[ I ] (/i/) 发音要决：也许有的时候在描述这个前元音的时候我们会想当然认为它是的缩短版本，其实这是错误的，或者至少说是简单化的理解。首先注意一点，美语中已经没有了长音符号，所以这两个音是相对独立的。当然，在口形上仍然存在相似之处。切忌将该音发成中文的“衣”。
发音时：唇部扁平，但没有发的时候那么伸展，且口形稍大。舌前部稍向硬腭抬起，但趋势不能太强。
